The Atlanta Hub

The inland port that keeps the Southeast moving.

Metro Atlanta is the busiest inland intermodal market in the Southeastern U.S. and the fourth-largest distribution market in the country. Containers offloaded at the Port of Savannah are routed by CSX and Norfolk Southern into Atlanta terminals around the clock — then drayed out to the warehouses, manufacturers, and retailers that depend on them.

That movement runs on chassis. Our Southeast PDC was built to keep that fleet rolling: stocking the twist locks, landing gear, brake assemblies, lighting, and structural components carriers need to turn equipment fast.

CSX Fairburn Intermodal Terminal

Just 12 miles from our Fayetteville PDC, Fairburn is one of CSX's largest intermodal terminals in the Southeast, handling the bulk of containers moving inland from the Port of Savannah.

Norfolk Southern — Inman & Whitaker Yards

NS operates two major intermodal facilities in Atlanta — Inman Yard inside the Perimeter and the Whitaker terminal in Austell — connecting Atlanta to Northeast and Midwest gateways.

Appalachian Regional Port (Chatsworth, GA)

Operated by the Georgia Ports Authority and served by CSX, the ARP gives North Georgia an inland gateway to the Port of Savannah's Garden City Terminal — one of the fastest-growing container ports in North America.

Port of Savannah Connection

Savannah is the third-busiest container port in the U.S. The Atlanta market is the primary inland destination for those boxes — and the chassis fleet that moves them.
